Welcome to the forums

I’m about 60 miles to the west in beautiful Dorset. I do, however, have friends in your neck of the woods.

It’s nice to see the southern contingent slowly growing

thanks for all the welcome replies......

So of jumped into the trike world with my eyes shut. Didn't realise how difficult things would be regarding the rules/laws. :bang:
I think the hardest part I've found is actually finding a place to get an MOT! there's 4 local-ish, but turns out 2 are registered as class 3 testers but they don't have the "plate" which is used to sit on the lift, the 3rd that's has refused to MOT it until I get the paper work changed (so I wont be using him as n when I do get my trike on the road) & I found the 4th MOT station last night who I mge & explained the problems I've been having & he's just replied saying he has no problem in doing my MOT!!!
So it looks like I've got to get my arse into gear & go get it weighed!

Mr 1130cc..... sounds like a plan for the future. Just to point out even though I ride all round, when it comes to winter I only ride the bike to & from work or unless it's an emergency. Apart from that I don't venture out! :snigger:

I know what you mean, I commute Waterlooville to Woking, though only 2 days a week now, so only "ride for pleasure" when it is nice an sunny.

Forgetting that the law states you should go to your nearest MOT station, give the guys at C&S a call. It is a bit of a way away, but it is run by bikers who also run trikes :)

They have been doing the V8, and the bikes, for a good few years.

Mr Lepchaun....

Yeah it is good new. I was seriously considering flogging it on! I all but lost interest.

As for your idea on a thread about how to register your trike would be a great idea. I'm guessing that & MOT questions are asked the most. I struggled like f*ck to find out what I need to do, the interweb isn't very helpful. Well it wasn't for coz I'm not very good with pooter so I probably wasn't looking in the right places! :bang:

I look forward in reading ya thread as n when ya post it.

Mr 1300cc.....

Yeah, I ride 5 days a weeks come rain, shine, snow n ice. Not very funny on 2 wheels in the winter time. So I thought adding a 3rd wheel would be a bit more safer & less chance of the front end going as n when you hit an icey patch.

I've got a metal plate & 14 screws holding my left arm on so that gives me jip when it's cold. So that's another excuse not to venture out far.

Oh & thanks for the blue clicky, I'll ave a butchers at that in a mo.

Welcome, come in and bring your reverse trike with you, its about time we had something new to talk about.
I must say I'm baffled why you need an mot before msva? Since it will surely be innvalid anyway - the trike will get a q surely? Oh, hang on, you said it's bolt on? So no msva needed, just an inspection, provided the inspector is satisfied its bolt on?
So mot, inspection, v5 change, same chassis and reg number? Have I got this right?
Lets have some pics then!
