Welcome to the mad house. Nurse will see you to a spare padded cell.
Now first thing you should check is the reg number on the gov site to see if it has a mot. If he just shows a bit of paper beware as that may be a fake. Check the gov website first.
It sounds well dodgy

Was the one you bid on a yellow phoenix bodied one originally up for £1,275.00, as i enquired about it and found him very cagey about the info on it, kept changing his price so i gave it a wide berth.
The older i get the earlier it seems to get late.

it was up for sale as a vw trike, but after speaking to him , he told me that it says triclops on the log book with a 585cc engine, i will be looking at frame number to see if it matches, by what he was saying it used to be a motor cycle trike , then changed to the vw engine, not sure if its a bolt up kit, or heavily modified bike chassis, if all welded up , i dont think i will be buying it if welded, im pretty sure it should have a Q plate instead of a age related one, looking at it tomorrow

That's the one I spotted on ebay. Now that one shows a VW engine so he posted the wrong pics or its a scam. Take a mate and no cash as this sounds very dodgy.
