I've got some lead weight belts from my diving gear you can strap to the front end. Or you could just use your wallet.

I'm trying out these Dowty washers as it seems when you buy any controls ie clutch & brake levers they are all using them instead of copper crush washers has anyone used them & if so how did they get on?

They're used on hydraulic fittings and work well. I have used them for year's, also good as sump drain washers.
