Re: Kawasaki trike
You can get the ones that bolt on in place of the tow ball which look stronger I know Mick uses one

Re: Kawasaki trike
You wouldn't have a link or pic for that sort by any chance.

I caint find any ether that are the same design as the other one but bolt on in place of the tow ball the steel is more substantial than the other one from what I remember

Re: Kawasaki trike
That looks better.
As to the first design, I can't see anything that's gonna stop it jumping off the tow ball if you happen to go over a nasty speed bump/cushion a but quick, you see with a tow hitch there's a lever you have to physically lift to disengage the retaining clip that stops said problem.

Re: Kawasaki trike
As a engineer I would not use this as the first bump it would twist down even with gusset plates welded there. You need support right were the centre of the wheel will be.gorbee0127 wrote:There for sale on flea bay. I was thinking of bracing it as in pic.
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Re: Kawasaki trike
THIS TYPE OF DESIGN IS NOT GOOD AS IT PUTS A LOT OF STRAIN ON THE FORK LEGS AS YOU GO ROUND CORNERS, DUE TO THE ANGLE OF THE HEAD STOCK ON BIKE /TRIKE, THE FRONT WHEEL AND FORK LEGS WILL TWIST IN THE FITTING
THE WHOLE THING NEEDS TO ROTATE ON THE TOW BALL OR A FLAT PLATE HINGE (SOMETHING LIKE A 5TH WHEEL ON AN ATTIC LORRY) TO STOP THIS
