Re: Kawasaki trike
If the diff is pushing oil out to a breather bottle its been over filled. As for your back!!! I reroofed my shed on Monday on my own and I know how you feel. I did it with steel sheets 1 mt wide 3 mt long, that way I don't have to get up there and refelt it after a few years. Just got to extend it again next year once I remove the green house.
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Re: Kawasaki trike
Well the trikes at the garage, they think it's gearbox but i am non the wiser until they get there specialist in to do the work & check it out, it's in there hands now going to cost around the grand mark so ain't going to be cheap either way let's hope they cure the problem it will all be worth it in the end
The older i get the earlier it seems to get late.

New gearboxes can be bought.......new backs cannot. Save your back for riding

Right just to throw a spanner in to the works. If it's the engine/gearbox and you can not find another one, how about mods to the frame to fit a Yam XJ900 lump. Or another shaft drive engine.gorbee0127 wrote:Well the trikes at the garage, they think it's gearbox but i am non the wiser until they get there specialist in to do the work & check it out, it's in there hands now going to cost around the grand mark so ain't going to be cheap either way let's hope they cure the problem it will all be worth it in the end

Re: Kawasaki trike
thought of that Barry, got a good 550gt engine in the shed all polished up and ready to go but a little underpowered me thinks, but saying that it pushed my old trike at a fair rate of knots they said at the garage that until it's stripped down and assessed no one knows,we will then go from there as to what to do....rebuild gearbox or change engine, they seemed to think rebuild gearbox would be the order of the day. Have ordered bottom gasket kit & can source a gear box complete from the states for £150.00 inc postage what the import cost will be is anyone's guess.

If you get the bits sent from USA get them to put on the paperwork that they are used parts and there should not be any import duty.

Re: Kawasaki trike
Sauced a gearbox from the states for £75.00 including £22.00 import tax, not to bad,on it's way now looks good to me. Ordered new output main shaft bearing just in case as I still think that's the cause of the problem, we will see? only £1.99 how can they even make them at that price and make any profit???
