My 750 hardtail has a really wide front end with an r1 rear wheel in there, complete with dunlop 180/55/17 rear tyre.mot'd no problem, stops and goes no problem (in fact the braking grip is fantastic). The only issue is its worn in a ziggzag pattern along the tread line, and gives a serious head woble at low speed if you let go the bars (don't know if the unneven wear has a bearing on this). I don't think a car tyre sits in the bead edges on the wheel?
