The pushrod seals require the head removed. If it's fitted with the adjustable rod tubes then you don't need to remove the head. All you need is the rockerbox gasket. It's a easy job and can be done in a few hours. If you need a hand I can pop over .
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

If you get it and not happy then sell it on for around 3k.

If he gives you the seals you require 8 as all 4 tubes will need doing.

yes agree i would do all 8, would be using these if i get it

don't need to take heads off with these :thumbsup:

I put sprung ones on mine, they cost a bit more than the std ones, however once fitted you can just forget about them........... Then the other oil leaks become apparent, well these VW's like to mark their territory.

Remove the rocker shafts and pushrods and you can break out the old tubes with out removing the heads. Make sure pushrods go back in same place.
