To hardtail or to not hardtail

That is the question, basically for those that have built/ridden both set ups what are the pros and cons of each set up please, apart from the obvious lol

softy unless you want you kidneys and back to have a beating . hard tails are for the young

theres many a bad back down to hard tail

My hardtail was by far my most fun and best handling trike loved it, but I was in my early 30's at the time, only a 650 but wheelied for fun and a lot of bikes struggled keeping up with it up to 90 mph,

British roads would seem to dictate a soft tail. Even my GS1150 bangs me about in Kent.
