Mudguards yes or no

Post by bert »

Conflicting answers to this one.
I don't have any mudguards on one of my trikes but been told
By one or two that I have to have them by law.
It is always ok at mot time.
Anyone got an answer on here.

I think you will find you don't need them for MOT, BUT if pulled by Vosa they will do you.
The older i get the earlier it seems to get late.

My only comment is it might depends on the width of the vehicle as to having somewhere to put the lights and reflectors.

If you had some kind of outrigger for trikes over 1500mm wide would they be classed as dangerous?

Trike 1260 mm wide with the big wheels on.
Have lights on small brackets.
Would put a pic on but not good with that sort of thing.
