Brake pads

Post by Alf Hucket »

Hello all,
I have a Grinnall Rockett 3 trike and the rear brake pads need renewing, are the pads the same as on the rear of a rocket 3 bike or are they from something else.

It all depends on what axle or drive hubs are fitted. Best talk to Grinnall and see if they can help you.
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

The rear brakes on a Grinnall Rocket are Hispec SVA calipers. you can buy the correct pads from Hispec and then you have to modify them. you have to reshape the pad so that it will not foul the disc center. This is because of the size of disc that Mark Grinnall uses in the build. I have to have mine apart this week as I have a binding caliper.

If it has the same HiSpec SVA calipers as mine. EBC DP106 or equivalent. They fit Capri, Cortina Mk1 Allegro, Marina, Hillman Avenger and Volvo 340 series. But, you do have to modify them to fit.
