Distributor firing reverse order

Think I have found out why they but the cam in the way it is, its an A plus cam with a 65d lucas distributor and an on-board 84896a Ford escort mk3 ignition unit. Probably from race tuning, managed to fit a mapped 45d but have got to fit a spacer as it is 4mm proud.
