The Empi disc brake kit is ok just be prepared to grind a bit off caliper lugs

You should have done some pictures of the install and posted them. What about your front brake, are you thinking of going to a disc.
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

I started taking pictures but it was so cold outside camera died by the time i got drums off. Am going to try reshaping the front shoes first but jeez it is just to cold at the mo with a load of snow forecast. worst bit about doing the discs was fabricating the h/brake cables with frozen fingers lol.
main reason for a need of better brakes is there is little engine braking as it is an autoshift.
