VW trike handbrake

Post by caveman »

Good evening all.
DSCF0123.JPG
Is anyone able to assist with a schematic or pictures of a VW trike handbrake system set up. Am using type 3 VW drums and want to set up the hanbrake down and to the right and rear of the driver seat.
Attached is the trike I am currently working on. Needs a couple of mods to make it street legal.
Any input will be appreciated.
Thank you all and kind regards,
Cave man

Best bet would be to get a VW manuel. The cable goes through the back plate and is hooked on to a leaver arm. The front jusy needs a hand brake mounted and an anchor point for the outer cable. Ican add photos if you need them

Bloody hell thats a huge front wheel!

Is that an IRS setup? If so the Hand brake cables actually run through the frame and come out jus above the IRS pivot point and then route straight to the handbrake connector on the drum brake
It's all about the grin on your face
