Great news today, Hermes have agreed to pay out on the insurance. £220 + the cost of sending. :)

I did complete all the brake installation, last weekend, but never took photos.
I will have to take a wheel off again, so I can photo the new install :)

As I am a bigger man, I will confess to a massive schoolboy error, that cost me around 3 hours additional work.
I forgot to put the pads in before I bled the calipers. This pushed the pistons so far out, I had to remove the calipers again to re-seat them. :o
Those in the know will know how hard it is to get to the bottom bolt on the caliper. It is literally keyhole surgery, and you get about a 12th turn at a time. Yep, one notch on a ring spanner.

To say the air was blue would be an understatement :hissyfit:

Oh and I broke the ring end on my 5/8 King Dick spanner :(

Pictures to follow, maybe this weekend.

I once did a service on a 3 ton diesel forklift. Jacked and blocked up the back end and drained the oil (8 ltrs) Refitted the drain plug and finished off the service. Removed the safety blocks and started it up and drove it out the workshop. And left a big trail of oil behind me. I had left the drain tray under the truck which was caught be the bell housing and crushed as I drove out. :bang: 20 years later and I still used to see the stain when ever I visited that customer.
