All ready to get the new parts ordered :)

Still need to find a set of shocks (4) for a reasonable price. Really fancy some gas adjustable ones, but reckon they will be too expensive.
The springs do not taper, so I could just buy standard and cut the spring down if required.
As you know, I had my garage guy look at my rear shocks on Misty Blue - of the 4x - only 1 was working (of sorts) - so I got him to replace the rear 2x with gas adjustables ( reported here in ano post way back). He reckoned the back end was so stiff with 4x shocks - not needed at all with wt @ 450 kg vs the wt of a Jag - so he took the inner 2x shocks off as not needed. Trouble is, the back end looked too low with only 2x shocks - so he refitted the other 2x with springs and no damping oil whatsoever - so they are merely there to maintain the old height with no damping effect whatsoever.

Basically, I am saying you don't need 4x shocks at rear - 2x will do as long as they are the right sort / height.

I've got four spax adjustable on mine they are just right with the weight i tow or when mad Bob gets on but they ain't to hard when solo not sure on spring weight as I brought them second hand that come of a v8 trike . I tried two standards as I didn't think it needed four but it was way too soft

Cost me that just for one for the back of the bike, never mind 4. Sounds like a bargain Sean.

Any idea on the spax model spec & spring ratings?

I suspect mine were as per original Jag ratings - so way too hard for the lower trike weight.

No idea I just know the come of a trike they are a bit stiff as in they don't move much but they soak up the bumps and potholes but I would imagine the size of the tyres helps with that
