Currently mid build on one, but I had a Mankey Monkey Reliant before.

Hi all, just a quick update on the XJ. Shortened the drive shaft & fitted it with no problems. Made up the rear brake lines in copper with a stainless braided line from the master cylinder to the three way splitter to give the small amount of movement needed. I changed the original bike master cylinder from 1/2 inch to 11/16 to give it a bit more oomph. Bled the brakes this morning with no probs & really pleased with the way they're working, loads of stopping power surprisingly & should get even better when everything's bedded in. Next job is fitting the handbrake & it's gubbins & then onto the silencers & bugger me! it's finished bar the shouting.
I'll post some more pics when the next job's finished, so ta ta for now. Bob

Hi all, well the divvy's pretty much finished now, just a few little odds & sods to sort & then it's on to the paperwork, MOT, weight cert etc., then it'll be up for sale. It's been fun but now it's time to say ta ta! I took a few pics of it this morning while the sun's shining. Take it easy guys. Bob.

Hi all, well the XJ's finished now & passed its MOT on Friday, Hurrah!! No problems or advisories & managed to get it weighed at the same time at the recycling centre next door. So it's now onto the paperwork & when that's done it'll be up for sale. Also while i was waiting at the MOT station, got talking to a guy that's got two trikes that have been sitting in his garage for a few years, one's a Reliant engined thing t'other's an XS750 yam. Both properly registered on V5's as trikes. He wants to out both of them so i'm going over next weekend to have a look. I'll let you know how i get on. Take it easy all! Bob.
