I decided to tackle the rusty grungy old Jag brake calipers I bought off ebay. First off, a soak in Screwfix degreaser, then I pumped the pistons out using the MC off the trike, then an overnight soak in citric acid solution to get the rust off. They came out like bare castings.

I'll have to buy new pistons and seals etc and some caliper paint, then they go back together.

I bought some tube and two 180° bends off ebay and knocked up a rear 'bumper', to protect the fans, mount lights to etc.

Handbrake - it can go anywhere as long as you can apply & release it when you're in the rider's seat. I haven't read the MSVA manual in years but isn't there something about sticky out bits mustn't foul the kebab thing they use when testing for projections?

It's tacked in place now, 'falls easily to hand', as they say in road tests.

I'm building everything with radiused edges where it could ever hit a pedestrian.

Where did you get your headers and end cans from? I have been thinking about replacing mine.

I'm guessing you are no where near Portsmouth?
T'would be nice to pop over and take a look. Steal some ideas :D

I ordered the headers from the US last year, Summitracing.com The silencers and exhaust tubing are from https://www.profusionexhausts.com

I'm up in the Midlands unfortunately, north of Birmingham, but you're welcome to swing by if ever you're up this way.

My VIN arrived from DVLA yesterday, a month after I emailed asking for one.

Stripping down for finish welding of the frame. Plus it needs a few more brackets added. It'll get a coat of paint and be slowly assembled, hopefully the last time before MSVA, if all goes to plan.
I need to obtain a working transmission, plus sort out a receipt for the motor, as I don't have one.
