Morning gang
Well it took me a while to work everything out, but I’ve finally made a Goldwing seat fit a cx500 !
It’s my own fault because I wanted to be able to use the latches and catches from the original seat with the Goldwing seat. It also took some working out where to add in supports in the frame so the seat doesn’t crack and break. I’ve also got both of the pannier and top box rack mounts sorted, just the lower mounts and pillion foot pegs to do next and then back to the brakes
Anyhoo, he’s the link to build photo album

I was wondering why updates had stalled

Ouch !!!! Right in the eye lol
Well I got a bit more done yesterday gang. Made new brackets and lugs for the bottom of the pannier crash bars and 2 pads for the rear seat rubbers to sit on. I’ve also worked out where I’m going to place the handbrake, just need to make a bracket up for the swingarm.
Anyhoo, here’s that link to the album, lots of new pics

Lol, you beat me to it Davey
Evening all !
Well my brother came up today with the Goldwing pannier boxes, top box and fairings. I couldn’t resist having a quick test fit of the boxes really happy with how everything fits.
I’ve been busy making a bracket for the handbrake the last few days. I just need to work out where to mount the rear brake master cylinder.
Next job after that is working out how to mount the front fairing support and fairing, then it’s pretty much time to take her apart and sort out all the paintwork
Anyhoo, here’s that link to the photo album

Take care, Stephanie

Morning gang
With my brothers help, we managed to mock up the front fairing on Tinkerbell yesterday (it weighs a tonne) I can’t believe how well everything lines up and fits, it’s almost like it came out the factory like that ! Even my brother likes it and he’s a Harley rider
I still need to seamweld the bracket to the headstock and fabricate lower brackets each side for the fairing support frame, but that’s about it ! I’m on the look out for a set of Goldwing clocks and wing mirrors for a 1987 GL1200 if anyone has any in a dusty corner they will never use and are happy to sell. There are a few on eBay, but not in the best condition.
Anyhoo, here’s that all important link to the photo album
