Well after doing the Plymouth Mega Ride the other week decided to check the carbs (twin Dellorto 40's) as one pipe looking a bit black, dug out my old Gunsons gas tester and my 4 gauge vacuum checker with a bit of backwards and forwards between the air bypass screws, throttle stop screws and then the mixture screws I think I have it all set well near enough.
The left hand pipes were running rich but now are more like the right pipes, took it for a quick trip and seams ok, now the next test will be the next charity run next weekend The Martin Jennings Memorial Run,

if you are pointing at the round hole that is the original fitting point for the bail arm that holds on the original rocker covers, there should be no gas coming from there, but if you are pointing at the exhaust then yes.

that was just to show you what they are, probably get them from VW Heritage, Limebug, Megabug or Just Kampers

I usually get my bits from machine 7 as they are just up the road.
