If you have a vacuum cleaner that can blow or an air blaster or similar put that up the tail pipe. Get some soapy water like what gas fitters use and spray on area of interest.

I have been getting my XS 750 ready for mot and painting the tin ware while i wait for the carbs to come back. This bike is an itch i have had ever since i wrote my new one off i 1982,not sure what i will do with it in the long term, maybe another trike as i have an axle.

Been fitting a new rear brake setup today using a motorcycle 1/2" bore master cylinder just letting the brake fluid settle overnight then bleed them proper tomorrow fingers crossed it will be OK should give me more pressure at the slave cylinders which is what i need...
The older i get the earlier it seems to get late.

Just given Herman a oil change on the new engine and reset a few tappets.

Just replaced both rear wheel cylinders on the ol' Dragstar. Found out that they were both shagged & full of rust. Much cursing & swearing ensued while trying to get the brake shoe springs on, but sorted now & i'll bleed them up tomorrow, had enough for one day!
Some mornings it's just not worth chewing through the restraints!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S A TOOL!!!! You mean I took the tops off of my fingers for nowt? Still seriously thinking of the disc conversion. Can't believe how cheap car parts are compared to bike parts. Oh well, i'll weigh it all up & if anyone knows (gorbee) of any special tools that i'll need, please let me know before I do myself a damage!
