started it up yesterday it took a bit of time I must of flooded it as I could smell petrol when I moved it there was a spillage on the floor wondering if there is a float stuck

first day with dry weather that I have not been working so time to swap out the old axle for the upgraded one, found out that drive shaft seal was gone on one side as well

four hours later and axle is in and mostly connected will finish off today then is the fun part of putting the engine in by my self as well

looking good mate is the axle of a higher cc engine . i must say that drain will come in handy for draining your oil :eek: :hoofle:

lep try giving your carbs a tap with something see if it will un stick it

The axle is a fully refurbished Benco axle with 3.88 ring and pinion compared with the 4.375 AB code gearbox I was using so more suited to the 2 litre as well

handle of a screwdrive works sometimes and it will not mark the carbs

Hi Lep. if you cant get to the carbs to give the a tap. try disconnecting the wire to the fuel pump under the seat. then start it up and let it run out of fuel in the carbs. switch off reconnect the pump. switch the ignition on and start it back up it may free the float needle.
