You do indeed have to log in to Google.

Once you have created a pin location, just click on your pin, then click on the icon in the top right of the box.
This will allow you to choose an icon.
Remember to click Save once you have made any changes.

The map should remain self managing.
I have no intention of ever deleting it, or my account used to create it :)

The only problem I can foresee is as follows......we have 169 active member.
Plus an additional 480 who view.....

If 50% of the total membership stick...then you won't be able to see the wood for the trees.....

Any other suggestions....

I will now retire to my corner hurt

What do you think Rik....

Good Idea. like it. just zoom in to an area you're heading to and see who's there.

I know what you mean.

When zoomed out I can see France.
When I zoom in it goes away and life becomes more tolerable

Welcome to the land of the thick (or challenged if you like !!)

Love to put my location in....but i can't even find the "you" pin icon, and yes i'm signed in to Google....BAH.

Anyroad...bloody good idea and well done for setting it up.

DD, if the whole world as we know it were to somehow stick their locations on, i agree, it would make it a little messy.

However, as with most things, i don't think we will get 100% of members adding their info.....but just in case they do. Would it not be possible to subdivide the more bunged up areas to a seperate box.

So you would click on lets say the Midlands, 'cos there's loads of you there, and that would come up in the form of a list ???

Just a thought....How about just zooooming in a bit, that would sort it.

Anyway, i'm in SCUNTHORPE, NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE....think that should suffice :niceone:

This nation wasn't given to our forefathers, it was wrought over a 1000 years of bloody war and the efforts of those who came before.
Let it not be us who bears the sin, of giving it away to the enemy within.
