Bob McIntyre Classic 2012

Post by Willgofar »

not long back from Bob McIntyre Classic Race Meeting at East Fortune. left yesterday on the trike in the rain (more like a monsoon), spent all yesterday (camping) and today in the rain. then drove home again in the rain.
it was the best Fathers Day weekend ive ever had. the racing was fantastic. bikes were superb. i can still smell the Castrol R in my nostrils. highlight was a couple of JPS Norton Rotaries in full song. i flattened the batteries in both cameras over the 2 days, but i managed to take about 300 pics and 80 video clips. only downside was my mates sidecar outfit blew the cylinder (massive crack).
ps trike is running great now. i didnt know it could do smooth. fuel consumptions no better though. :):):):)

when i was taking the pics of the Norton, an old boy told us he had one of those fairings in his hut. been untouched for 30 years. my mate has negotiated to buy it for £20. then it will be going on the BSA outfit.

didn't go to Cooper Bros very often. i usually went to Freddies in Kilmarnock. used to drool over his Seeley Norton.
