High Revs
Hi all, I have a Boom VW 1600i after start up when I come to lights/junction or in traffic when I depress the clutch the revs start to build but drop back to normal when I let the clutch out, after a few miles this stops happening, it's doing my head in

Sounds like a sensor in the exhaust system may be playing up a little, though if the fault clears when the engine is warm then I would say it was more likely that it's a "design feature" rather than a fault.

I would tend to check the connections on the efi setup, and if there are 2 spade connectors below the gearstick try disconnecting them as they can cause bother too.

Meant to add could you pop over to the new members section and introduce yourself, it's something we have all done and it helps to break the ice between us
