I don't, however now that you have prompted me to read up on it, i might just get some.rowfab wrote:Does anybody use ZDDP oil additive ?
(edit)
Hang on i may sway the other way just read an article debunking the removal of zddp causing damage to older engines as a myth.

No - but I have used molyslip in my engine oil on my jeep for last 125,000 miles - I saw it demo'd back in the '60s when I was working in the rmc industry. Oil rep had a chromed steel bar - dipped in oil and held against a grinding wheel - soon had a big gouge in it - turned it over to the other side and dipped in molyslip - never even touched it ! One caveat - do not use on a new motor - you'll never run it in !

I was always told never add anything to your oil as it dilutes.

Re: ZDDP
I used to use Wynns Supercharge, that was good stuff. Supposed to rejuvenate rubber seals and stop engine smoking.
I never checked any engine seals after using as there wasn't any reason to strip it but I did notice my old Ford didn't blow smoke when it was cold anymore I haven't seen it for a while.
