Fitted a new front tyre 170 instead of 180, fitted backwards, since it's a rear tyre. Not tried it yet. Been making a new speedo housing for my existing bike clock, out of an old piston, bored out, with a press in bezel, pespex lens for the leds and a seperate, stuck on idiot light, er, tab thingy. I intended to fit the leds on the piston, but there just isnt room.
Been at this thing for hours, making a mounting rod for it now, its going on the handlebars. I'm making the rod from stainless - struggling with pics so please be patient.

Re: Kawasaki gt750 hard tail
Making stuff in the workshop is one thing, getting pics from my ipad to this forum (without a web hosting service) is another issue...
Anywaaay, got the backlights working, the idiot lights are fitted in the stuck on curvy thing under the piston, polished the stainless mounting (need an m4 stainless bolt and nylock to clamp it to the bars - can you get m4 nylocks?) also made a blank plate to close the back of the piston off tonight, the idiot lights are wired and even work as intended (if alittle bright).
So I need to check the bike speedo is set up correctly, connect up the baclights , drill the backing plate and bang it all together...
Oh, I resprayed the handlebars satin black last night, so looking good.

Re: Kawasaki gt750 hard tail
Thanks for taking the time to type that Herby, alas all wasted (on me anyway), as I have an ipad, and while its really reliable, well made etc, it's a bit shite at anything if you don't have a app for it.
I'll keep trying though, next pic it will be on the trike - promise!
Ps, fine looking grandson, I bet you have loads of fun together, an he loves your trike!
I have a similar model, plus an older sister, non stop fun (and loads of work).
