Is it possible to change the gearbox on my 1600i Boom so it has 5 gears instead of 4, I think it needs it when cruising the motorway. Or is there an alternative which doesn't include trading it in for another.

Re: Gearing
My Boom 1600i used to cruise at upto 85 before I changed the gearbox, now it tops out at 70, however that's great for towing the teardrop.
I know that Bears in Solihull do a five speed conversion for VW transaxle, however I don't think it will be cheap, it is possible to buy different ratio gears, it's a case of finding someone to do the job at a reasonable cost.
