Re: Reliant trike
There is nothing wrong with Reliant based trike so long is it is not still registered as a Reliant.
Some bedtime reading - http://www.trikedoctor.co.uk/forums/vie ... =3&t=13069
If you built a kit car, you would expect to have to get it registered. You would not go and buy a V5 for another car and saying it one of those. That is known as ringing a vehicle.
That no different than building a trike and using a V5 from a Reliant,

Re: Reliant trike
That does look sexy, but apparently it is a Red Reliant Super Robin Van.
The thing is, it is not that difficult to put something through an MSVA test, so long as you have something good to start with.
The test is only about £200
A number of people have done it on here, whether they have built from the ground up or have brought something and then put it through the test.
Worst case, you could buy that and then at some point it gets taken off you and crushed.
On the other hand you may ride it for years and nothing happens.
Tis the risk people take.

Re: Reliant trike
I don't think reliant trikes are unpopular, it's the crappy builders and ringers that use the reliant name on their build that's given the bad name there's nothing wrong with Reliant running gear or power train
