Made almost 200 at the wheels.
I suppose that is around 225 at the crank.

And it broke the trans in third gear.
The aftermarket 3-4 hub deformed out of round and took the sychros out with it.

Repairing the trans with tougher parts.

Looks fantastic Rex. Bad luck with the trans but with all that power its not surprising. Possibility of early Porche tranny fitting.

Bloody hell, good effort :)

Good luck with rebuilding the tranny.

I built the trans myself. I can do it again.
It has a bunch of hot rod parts in it. Was supposed to handle a 200hp input. I put around 225 into it multiple times with everything it has.
The aftermarket hub on 3-4 failed. It did not scatter/strip gears/quit working. I am told by the race trans shop that the aftermarket hub assembly I put in it is not a good unit. Was told the slider is excellent but that hub is softer than original. So keep everything else and swap the hub to a harder unit.

So after all those hard pulls it did not seem right but still worked. I broke the sychro rings by continuing to drive it....collateral damage

I doubt I will ever make any more full power dyno pulls.
It is much easier to accelerate the scooter than to accelerate that dyno. With a better hub in there I doubt it will break again.

I have been riding mine all summer.
I have changed the tuning of the headers and switched to map. It has gotten stronger and stronger. I doubt peak hp is any higher but getting there has gotten a lot more fun. It is even pulling hard off the cam. Then turns full hot rod at 3500rpm. But I can rip snort all around, pull a few small power wheelies.......and never even get to the cam. I have cut 500rpm off the top, but still 7000rpm with a vw is a buzz.
