If there LED ones you will probably need a relay I read about it on a bike forum a couple of years ago hope this helps

Yep, LED ones will either have a resistor inline, or you can buy a LED specific flasher relay.

Not led but ball bulbs and as i say 10wat need to find 21wat off set pins but hitting a brick wall.

If they are those 'mini' type indicators you will be out of luck! And a 21w bulb in there melts the plastic - ask me how I know! ! !
Easiest solution is add a 20 ohm 10w resistor into each ground line to each indicator but that may make them a bit dull. Best solution
use LED types and change the flasher relay or proper 21w indicators!

When i fitted extra LED inds to my old Waco because it was a mix of bulbs and LED it all went haywire. i found a 4 pin led relay from landrover with adjustable resistance. it had a little knob on the back and i found i could tune it up and down until everything worked.

This is a LR part & comes as a standard fit on Defenders. As Mal says merely adjust the resistance to suit what lamps/LESs you are using. easy !!!

Have you wired them in Parallel or Series. I think they need to be wired in series so they load the system.
