This is the sort of rake / trail you need - as per Trike Doctor Marc Geraghty made for me. Surgery only answer doc for that front end

I've just checked with the MSVA manual and the MOT Testers Manuals and both refer to front brake requirements ! ! ! I'm starting to dislike this even more!
i never noticed that very strange

It does look like it has no Brake on the Front from those photos, doesn't it!

It does have one though, as you can see by the Handlebar Lever & M/C Unit.
You can see the Braided Hose on the first photo too.

On the subject of Brakes, I'm planning to do away with the front M/C, and link it into the Foot Brake Circuit, through an adjustable Bias Valve, any thoughts on that?

Well, I took it out for a brief ride a few days ago.
I think the Steering is actually not too bad.
Yes, it shakes it head at low speeds on the crappy bumpy roads round the owner's house, but out on the open road it seems pretty good to me.

I'll be rebuilding the Steering arrangement, with a remote Bar set-up.
It won't alter the feel much, but will get rid of the need for Orangutan arms to steer round tight corners!!

Engine needs a once over, particularly the Carbs.
There's nothing between tickover and around 3000rpm, makes pulling away a screaming, clutch-slipping affair.
Not knowing it's service history, I'll strip and check everything.

Has anyone had a complete Engine Vapour/Aqua-Blasted?

Will be fitting an Acewell or Koso Dash, any experience with these on older (non EFI) Bikes/Trikes?

I had a bmw boxer engine blasted years ago, but it was a stripped down one. Some places now do soda blasting as it washes right off
I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

Barry the cantankerous old goat. :poke:

Soda Blasting will get rid of the flaky paint, but I've read that Aqua/Vapour Blasting 'seals' the surfaces (like Shot Peening), so you can leave the surfaces bare, without them corroding so readily.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Not done much to the Trike yet, just collecting parts for it mostly.
Did replace the Front Tyre with a Car one, we'll see how that works out at some point.

Moved it from the owner's Driveway, to a Farm down the road, where a friend rents a small Barn Unit, so I can work on it out of the weather, and be able to leave Tooling/Parts etc with it.

I'll post progress as it's made . . .
