Reliant Workshop Manual

Post by Twanny »

Do any Reliant workshop manuals exist in pdf? I am specifically interested in the information about the differential. I am hoping to do some 'adjustments' to the axle and coupling flange. I have attached a photo of my diff.

Many thanks

Hi Oldbarsteward,

I need to detach the prop shaft from the diff (to shorten the shaft by 10 mm) and also fix a leak I have on the diff itself. Its leaking oil pretty bad so I dont know if there is a paper gasket there that can be changed. Were can I find these diff gaskets please?

Cheers

Him and his cornflake boxes eh lol.

It's easy to make any gasket dude if you can't obtain one.

You can buy online gasket paper of various thicknesses.

To make the gasket, just use a bit of a4 and place over the part, press your "dirty has to be dirty" fingers around the edge and you've now got a template for said gasket.
Tape onto gasket paper and trace it out.

It will become clear when you do it m8.

I'm no trike expert but been an engineer for , well since the titanic sank lol.

Any problems get back and I'll pop a link ob for gasket paper.

Not cornflake boxes lol.

Oh and if I did do that it would be a branfkake box ha

Ps. Donk know where you are m8 but I could easily do your shaft.
It will need machining down, rotary welding then balancing.

V important the balancing:-)

Pps.

"Fifer" will know where to get gasket.

He's a wealth of information and knowledge.
I don't know him myself but he's good.

when you split the diff case there is no gasket just machined faces a careful application of instant gasket should deal with any imperfections in the faces
