Hardup Trike Build

Post by fenty »

How do folks. I haven't been on here in ages so thought I'd give a wee update as to what I've been up

Hardup choppers Outlaw frame and their own girder forks

Image

GSXF750 engine, carbs and loom

Image

West Wales Trike Shack back end. 60kgs of steel and alloy loveliness!!

Image

American Racing Outlaw wheels 15"x10"

Image

And suitably phat tyres to suit

Image

That lot thrown together with a Harley V-Rod front wheel

Footplates made from JCB digger steps

I may have licked this headlight a few times

The theme is going to be Wild Bill Hickok (I'm calling the trike the Dead Man's Hand) so I'm going for a vintage black, silver and brass look and tan leather accents will help.

The engine is at a blasting place getting stripped, and there it'll stay until it opens post covid 😭😭

Plenty more to come....

I'm fascinated with the engineering of the rear axle assembly.
Looks really sexy, and needs admiring from all angles, imho :)

Mudguard brackets made from 4mm wall 1" tube. I used a hydraulic pipe bender after packing the tubes full of sand, and they bent lovely without so much as a ripple. The axle comes with mudguard mounting points built in which was handy. ImageImageImageImage
