New project.

Post by firebob22 »

Hi all, as i mentioned last time, i met a guy with a couple of trikes to sell, one a Yam XS750, the other a Reliant engined one. Both properly registered on V5's. Done a deal for the XS & he delivered it a few days ago, with a load of parts new & old. It's in a bit of a state & has been sitting since 2011. He said that he had someone try to fit electronic ignition to it but they f****d up the wiring completely & never finished the job, but cut/stripped & generally ruined the loom.
It looks like a complete strip down & rebuild of everything, but on the bright side it was cheap & is registered & will be tax exempt when i eventually get it on the road, which may be some time but i'm in no hurry.
Still waiting for the paperwork for the Divvie & once that's sorted it'll be up for sale which will free up a bit of room to start on the XS.
If anyone's interested in the Reliant trike, i had a quick look at it & it looks to have been done nicely & is all there & was running MOT'd etc., back in 2010 & has been garaged ever since, but not something i'm interested in. Gimme a shout if you want any more info. Genuine guy that has it, but is more into cars now.
Well that's it for now, onward & upward! Take care all. Bob.

Cheers mate, i'll check it out, found a loom in the boxes of parts that came with the trike so might be able to make a decent one out of the complete mess! Haven't come across the original points plate though so fleabay it is! Bob.
