Hi all, oil change & filter time on the XVS1100. Crap design, to change the oil filter on these, you have to take off the exhaust system & various other sundry parts as the filter is inside the engine! Real pain, so decided to fit a filter relocation kit that allows a spin on filter to be used & it sits in front of the engine, underneath the starter motor. Can't get these over here, so ordered one from the US. Really nice piece of kit with everything supplied. Fitted it yesterday after much cursing getting the pipes off & chucking the old filter. All went together ok, just had to juggle a few parts around like the horn & crash bar mount brackets, but all good. Started up & all's A-OK, no leaks & the added bonus of extra oil capacity & air flow over the filter & lines. Take it easy all! Bob.

Got to love it when stuff like that happens.

Mine is usually the other way around, like when the coil failed on the way to the MOT.
