Hi everyone, i havent been on or around for a while. Last June on my way back from my first Weston bike night i got hit by a car coming towards me. he came over into my lane and hit my o/s/r wheel so hard i was spun all the way around and i couldnt hold on and i was spat off down the road. the noise of howling tyres(mine) was incredible. but the trike didnt tip at all. i was lucky, i got away with bruises and a stiff neck and i,m fine now. The trike however wasnt. With a totally destroyed wheel and tyre and some very bent suspension. Unfortunately its taken this long to get the right parts and the right paint. Despite having photos and chassis numbers Rewaco still managed to send two wrong parts but Trike Guy were very helpful and did all the ordering and replacing and getting the parts to me. Another luckily, was the guy on a bike behind me who got the whole thing on his helmet cam so insurance hasnt been a problem. Now i,m not preaching nor do i want start a debate all over again but i was probably doing less than thirty as i approached traffic lights but i,m very glad i had my helmet on as the back of it took quite a hit and all i got was a headache. So this weekend i,m back on the road and its the best xmas present ever. The trike looks as good as ever even if i dont
I,m not going to post the video or pictures its too horrible. Great to be back and Happy Christmas to everyone.
Mal, back on the road.

It sounds like it could have been a lot worse and good that you've recovered.

Re: Mal, back on the road.
Thanks everyone for the good wishes, and yes when i got up from the road i found myself staring at the car behind him who thankfully wasnt going anywhere near as fast and had time to stop. so yes could have been so much worse. but all good now, ok i lost a whole summers riding and to be honest after that i wasnt really wanting too for some time. so if your like me still riding at this time of year, please be careful but above all enjoy.
