Even though I, technically, set it up, I do not really use Discord.
I have never used a Community style Discord setup, which is what I have created by the power of Google.
I tend to use voice channels when chatting to mates when gaming.
I use the message channels for chatting amongst family, including room to room

Well - I set up Discord on my phone via the QR code - urls kept giving me invalid crap - despite welcoming me back?!
I also have Whatsapp & Telegram apps on my phone.
Very tight of the Trikeguy not to be able to afford the fee to keep site running

Facebook is free to use & setting up a group page is simple. I am admin on a ‘Memories’ site for the village I originate from & it is a simple matter of keeping tabs on posts & who is allowed to join (it’s done as a private members page) & removing the people who abuse the site / members.

Another good thing about Facebook page sites is you can nominate several admins - so it’s not all down to one person - although it often ends up with one or two main bods doing most of the so called ‘admin’ since they are keenest or have more spare time etc.
