Torque setting

Going to be putting new gaskets on the rocker covers, anyone know what torque settings I need? :tea:

For a VW engine? If so this is gonna be a tough one as standard they have a big spring holding them on and for the alloy heads you need a set of adapters that screw to the rocker studs. It can't be much as it's only got to be oil tight as there's not a great lot of pressure in the rocker box and the gaskets are real thick cork. I'll look about and see if I can find anything but I wouldn't worry too much, do them up hand tight and then a further half turn at most.

Seems there isn't a torque setting for them. :poke: aparently the way to go is to get down and look along the flat where the two bolts are and when you begin to see the cover pull in that's it! As tight as it needs to be.
