Went for a ride out last Sunday to Shropshire, up to Clee Hill.
Was a good ride there albeit cold.
Clee Hill's approx 1500 ft altitude and some real nice views once up there. But it was freezing.
The sun had broken through and so was warmish when in it. But up at the top of Clee Hill it was covered still in THICK to say the least snow.
Took the rural route back down, so rode around the back of Clee Hill and down the 17 miles of country lanes to Bridgenorth.
Fields and houses literally covered in snow, the ploughs had cleared the roads, and in some places where the ploughs had cleared it the snow must of been 7 ft high..regardless of how freezing it was, the scenery was stunning.
Back down and into the sunshine and green fields, we then rode to Quatt's Cafe.
Quatt's is a truck stop cafe, and is very popular with bikers.
Great cuppa there and huge plates of food.
Quite a lot of bikers go there for breakfast and then bimble into Wales for a ride out.
Great place to go if you haven't been, with lots of good roads to take for a nice scenic ride.
RR.
